Pupils at a Dunfermline school are celebrating following winning an environmental competition.

Dunfermline High School have secured £10,000 to establish a 'green energy gym'.

The facility will contain a range of equipment allowing pupils to keep fit, but also generating electricity at the same time.

The money is being made available by the ScottishPower Green Energy Fund.

Pupils there competed with other schools across the UK in the 'Big Green Dream' competition.

Anna McCracken is a school pupil at Dunfermline High.

She said: The Big Green Dream competition has been so much fun to take part in.

"I can’t believe we actually won and everyone is looking forward to start running, rowing and riding!"
