Levenmouth Local Energy Project

Helping businesses within the Levenmouth area.

Levenmouth Local Energy Project

Green Business Fife and Fife Council are looking to engage with businesses as part of a pilot project to inform how the council prepares for future energy and heat developments across Fife.

We are trying to encourage businesses to engage with the free service from Resource Efficient Scotland to reduce their business energy costs, and this will help the Council to map energy opportunities for future developments.

We are holding a number of events in which Resource Efficient Scotland will give an overview of the support they have on offer to help your business achieve energy and waste reductions. One fantastic fund on offer from Resource Efficient Scotland is the SME Loan Fund which currently has 15% cash back. Come along to learn how it could benefit your business.

Background

We are looking to engage with businesses within the Levenmouth area as part of a pilot Local Heat and Energy Efficiency Strategy (LHEES). This will help plan for energy demand reduction and heat decarbonisation of buildings across their area, rolling out costed phased delivery programmes across all sectors.

We are hoping to gather business energy use and building characteristic data to improve national non-domestic energy data (heat map) to help in the development of future energy infrastructure. We also wish to identify challenges or gaps for businesses in taking forward energy efficiency measures. We would appreciate participation so we can submit accurate data to help prepare for future plans. Please email info@greenbusinessfife.co.uk if you can help with the business energy use data.
