Floating Offshore Wind UK 2018

October 30, 2018

AECC, Aberdeen

Floating Offshore Wind UK 2018 conference and exhibition is the UK’s dedicated floating offshore wind event. Supported by the leading players in this new global market, in 2018 we head to the UK home of oil and gas to learn about the crossover between these two sectors.

2018’s event comes at a critical time. Statoil-Masdar’s Hywind project will have been operational for a year – already we know it is outperforming against expectations. The Kincardine project will be in construction, and we are working to secure a breakthrough in support for the Hexicon and Forthwind projects.

We will be looking at next steps for this emerging UK sector both at home and around the globe. With an offshore wind sector deal in place, we expect to see industry driving innovation, working to strengthen its supply chain and investing in skills. At the event we will explore how floating offshore wind can benefit from this sector deal and learn from successful cost reduction efforts.

This event is co-organised by RenewableUK and Scottish Renewables. Attendees will benefit from the opportunity to connect with all floating offshore wind players in one location, learn about current progress and opportunities, and get insight into future trends and policy needs for the sector. At the event will be project developers, manufacturers, financiers, ports, supply chain companies and technical experts.

The day event will be full of keynotes, debate, exhibition and networking opportunities.
