With a growing portfolio of environmentally friendly FSC and recycled products our grades are a popular choice among users looking for high performance boards with sound environmental credentials. Exporting to over 50 countries, our boards are used for a wide variety of end uses including premium packaging, cards and cover applications.
Tullis Russell Papermakers have been certified to the international standard for environmental management systems BS EN ISO14001 for over 10 years - operational areas are allocated targets for reducing waste water, raw material efficiencies, and energy efficiency. The company gained Forestry Stewardship Council (FSC) chain of custody certification in 2005 - over 90% of the woodpulp used at the mill is now FSC certified.
The new biomass power plant about to be constructed at Tullis Russell will soon allow us to produce paper with an extremely low carbon footprint. The fuel for the new plant will be made up of virgin and recycled wood diverted from landfill.
